Renovating 10 Units of Housing in Garden Grove
American Family Housing will rehabilitate ten units of housing in an existing 13,000 square foot two-story wood frame apartment building. Eight units will be permanent supportive housing (PSH) units, one unit will be for a household earning less than 50% AMI and one unit will be for an on-site resident manager. AFH owns the site and no entitlements are needed for the proposed scope of work. Stuart Drive tenants will have access to on-site and off-site programs that are flexible and responsive to tenants’ needs.
AFH will provide two offices on-site for the property manager and supportive services staff. Design of the offices will address sound transmission so as to maximize privacy.
Renovation will include painting and finishes, doors and hardware, new flooring, updated cabinets with new countertops, energy-efficient appliances, updated plumbing and HVAC as well as electrical upgrades. Units will be prewired for internet and cable TV access.
