Any time of the year is a perfect time to donate goods to American Family Housing clients. The items you donate help give people transitioning out of homelessness a sense of dignity and empowerment.

EASY WAYS TO DONATE
Please drop off your items at any of our office locations in Midway City or Norwalk during office hours, OR you can schedule a donation pickup from your residence or business using our donation pick up service.
DONATION GUIDELINES
We want to say YES to everything; however, it is not always something we can do. We ask that all donations be in usable condition with no rips, tears, stains, or pet hair and no repairs needed.
BUSINESS DONATIONS
If your business has overstock, seasonal, or leftover items, please email nguevara@afhusa.org. When you donate inventory to American Family Housing, you will receive free pick-up and a tax receipt for your business.

ESSENTIALS NEEDED
HYGIENE & BASIC ESSENTIALS
Hygiene items and other basic essentials are critical to those participating in AFH programs. These items can help our clients feel good about the skin they’re in and give them the boost they need to move forward.
WELCOME HOME BASKETS
Welcome Home Baskets are provided to every AFH client moving into our housing. Your donations will help make every new client feel at home by filling their unit with dishes, bedding, soft furnishings, and handwritten welcome notes.
FOOD & PANTRY STAPLES
AFH strives to ensure that every client in our programs has a full pantry. Your donations of food and other pantry staples help to bring stability and fill the pantries of those in our shelters and recently transitioning into housing.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
The children in our programs always need backpacks and school supplies so they can be prepared for their learning during the school year. A single pack of pencils and paper could be the gateway to a bright, promising year.
GIFT CARDS
Gift cards to grocery stores and gas stations empower program clients to perform their own basic shopping and give them autonomy to choose what is best for their needs.
CLOTHING
Lightly used clothing is an essential part of our donations, we provide clothing to our clients by creating free “pop-up” shops to empower our clients to shop for their own clothing and discover their style. We are always in need of clothing that fits a wide range of individuals.
