1. Serve Thanksgiving Meals to the Homeless

Speaking of altruism, those who want to take a step further in helping others should consider serving dinner to the homeless at a dinner hosted by American Family Housing. The organization is trying to serve 1,000 meals–twice the amount they served last year–and is also accepting donations in food and cash.
